SAIEE NORTH WEST UNIVERSITY STUDENT CHAPTER
The official launch of the SAIEE Student Chapter at the NWU Potchefstroom Campus had an information session regarding the role of the Chapter and the vision that we have for the future. The chpater was joined by the likes of Prof Albert Helberg (a senior lecturer in Computer & Electronic Engineering and member of SAIEE), Gerda Geyer (Executive Secretary of SAIEE), and the SAIEE President himself Prof Jan de Kock.
The launch event involved and introduction of our Chapter members, a social media competition with some giveaways, an address by our President followed by an interactive Q&A session.
The launch was a huge success and we anticipate to have more events in future whereby we encourage the student populous of the NWU Potchefstroom campus to become involved in SAIEE and reap the long term benefits.
The NWU Chapter continue to host events throughout the year such as Membership Drives, Seminars, Socials and Industry visits. We are also actively participating in all campus recruitment events such as Engineering Days and Open Days.
Our community engagement continues to grow as we venture to partner with numerous stakeholders to better prepare Sparky students for the industry.
